Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

What a fantastic adventure. The scenery is breathtaking. The hike at the top is definitely worth doing. The air is so clean and crisp and the views outstanding. You can do the desert view hike in about an hour or so without stops but you need to stop and take in the beauty around you. Take a small snack and water with you also. There is a small cafe at the top and a bar for drinks but very pricey.

What a pleasant surprise! A fantastic trip to the top in the cablecar. Beautiful scenery - a lovely lunch at the top.

I don't see the benefit of booking via this medium for this event. There was no advance booking line, so a 35 min wait, followed by a 2 hour wait to get up the mountain. Save your money and just buy your ticket on the day or use an app that let's you physically buy timed tickets
