Pearl Harbor was great to see. The Arizona Memorial brought me full circle. My Daughter Val is in the AirForce now my husband and I were in the AirForce years back. So we came to Pearl Harbor with our Daughter going to school at Hickem base. She's stationed in Guam. So I finally got here. I did take care at Roseburg, Oregon VA hospital one of the last survivor crew member of the Arizona working a RN in the 80s. It was said the sound of tapping at the Arizona would stop when this patient passed. He pounded in the ship when it was sunk. Until he was pulled out of the ship. It brought me sadness and tears to finally see the Arizona Memorial for myself. Many Arizona men were sent to the Roseburg, VA after the Pearl Harbor Attack. Some alive and then died. There's a beautiful VA cemetery there. Yet no big Memorial the hospital played in Pearl Harbor attack. Caring for the Pearl Harbor soldies. It was the first land hospital they were sent too.

Ariel from Karma Tour Hawaii was an amazing private tour guide for our recent trip to the Arizona Memorial. He was a wealth of information not only about the attack on Pearl Harbor but also about Waikiki and the culture of the Hawaiian people. We could not have had a more informative host. I would highly recommend Karma Tour and Ariel to anyone visiting the islands.
