Since reservations for the USS Arizona are hard to come by, I recommend doing a tour like this to help ensure you get a ticket. Also, our guide Carl was great and answered all of our questions.

Our tour bus driver Felix gave the entire bus wrong information, causing almost everyone (minus those who didn't go into the movie...as told to us by Felix) to miss out on seeing the USS Arizona. Needless to say everyone was infuriated! When we called Roberts Hawaii for them to make it right and give us new tickets, they blamed the incident on the park rangers and said there was nothing they could do to help. We will never be in the area again and have missed the opportunity to pay our respects to the brave sailors on the USS Arizona due to miscommunication on the part of Roberts Hawaii and the Park Service. They need to work together to make sure no one else suffers this mishap. TIP: Be sure to check with the park rangers when you get there... don't take the directions from your bus driver.

I’m conflicted writing this as the Pearl Harbor site and memorial are a must see and very moving. However, do your homework on what to do and see there on your own as you are just dropped off without any idea where to go, except for the memorial. We had no idea what to do and am sure we missed a lot. You also only drive by the Punchbowl so plan another stop to spend some time there. If you are only using this tour as transportation and a ticket in, it’s well worth it. If you want a more informative Pearl Harbor tour, skip this one.
