When coming to a new city I often like to take a bus tour if they are available so that I can get an overview of the city and it’s landmarks and then determine what spots I want to return to and explore in more detail. I loved sitting on top of the bus along side our tour guide who did a wonderful job narrating the sights along the way.

The driver and guide are two separate people so it's easy to get your questions answered. When I returned to the bus after going to the Reading Terminal Market, they both smiled and greeted me, I felt like a valued customer. The tour is about 90 minutes if you stay on the bus and you can ride around a second time if you decide to go to more places.

This tour was terrific. My family was visiting me in Philadelphia when we did the tour. They loved getting to see so much of the city in one day and I learned so much about this city that I've lived in for the past two years. I guarantee that even people who have lived in Philadelphia their whole life would learn something new from this tour. Our tour guide was Jay and he was also terrific. He had a really great sense of humor and knew so much about Philadelphia. When you go, try to jump on a bus with Jay for at least a portion of the tour!
