I love hop on/hop off bus tours, and Big Bus didn't disappoint! I highly recommend this as a great way to see the city. You can begin your tour at any of the stops, and can purchase tickets on the spot. To do the full loop, you just keep riding until you get back to your original spot. For us, this did require going to the main stop and changing buses. It was slightly disorganized at this point, but was good otherwise. This type of tour is a fantastic way to get an idea of the city on your first day, and then you can choose things you want to go back and see more of later. Of course, you can get off at any of the stops, or keep riding. We chose the one day pass, and that met our needs. We had a very enjoyable tour. My understanding is that the whole loop can be done in about 1/5 hours if you go non-stop, longer if you are getting off. Highly recommend!

Hello Carolinesc7,
Thank you for choosing Philadelphia Trolley Works & Big Bus, and for your detailed, positive review. I am pleased you enjoyed your tour experience, and that you highly recommend it as a great way to see the city. The tour starts and finishes at Stop 1, which is the stop for the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, so you can hop off, visit those sites and then join the tour again for the next go round. Our tours depart at regular intervals, which vary depending on the time of year. A continuous tour, without hopping off, is about 90 minutes.
