If you are not familiar with the city and not sure how to plan your trip this tour is the best thing for you. It takes you to all the places that you will want to go.My only complaint is with the tour guide Mike...he was saying at EVERY STOP "All appreciation is appreciated!" I understand that they rely on tips but I feel it is VERY rude to push tipping on your patrons. He was the only one that acted that way. The other tour guides were great with their information and jokes!!

One of the best tours I have been on. Highly informed tour guides with the exception of one. Even the bus driver advised a couple to get off and take another bus!!! I won't comment further as this driver was pretty rude to the guide and a pedestrian!! Guess she was having a bad day. We had a two day pass and got off and on many times to see the sites. Since our hotel was within a block of one of the stops, we used this as our means of transportation which worked out great.

I have taken the Big Bus tour twice in Philadelphia and learned new information each visit. It really does make a huge difference who your guide is, but I don't have any names to recommend. Besides, you can always get off at a stop and wait for the next bus with a new guide if you're not impressed. Also, if you're visiting on a hot day an air conditioned conveyance can't be beat. Neither can seeing a summary of what there is to do in the town without having to schlep all over on your sore feet.
