This is a great way to see the city of Philadelphia without having to navigate the horrible traffic and parking. There are 27 stops on the tour and you can get on and off the bus at any of the stops on the route as many times as you wish. During the ride, the guide notes points of interest with interesting stories behind some of the landmarks. Make sure to note how often the buses run so you know how long you may have to wait for the next one. NOTE: There is also a Philadelphia Sightseeing Tour which is different from the Big Bus Tour. However, at certain stops you may be able to catch either bus to continue your tour. We were not informed of this and waited at one of the stops for an hour and 15 minutes waiting for the Big Bus, as a few of the Sightseeing Tour Buses passed by. When I called Big Bus after 45 minutes of waiting, they informed me that we could also take the Sightseeing Bus, which we then boarded after another 30 minutes of waiting. We had to finish the bus tour without getting off at any more stops since we were on a time schedule and wasted an hour and fifteen minutes waiting for a bus.

Disappointed. We got stranded on our first stop at the Rocky steps/museum. Next bus came back in 30 minutes but driver said they were full - although it sure looked like there were seats - said next bus would be there in 10 minutes - 40 minutes later next bus came also with no room but driver took pity on the 20 plus at our stop and let’s us on as standing room - while much appreciated it was smoking hot in the down part of the bus and we couldn’t hear the tour guide. We stuck it out to get to Liberty Bell - foregoing the stops we had planned for fear of being abandoned again - and then just ubered back to hotel. Cost 175$ for the 5 of us, could have Ubered for like $50. Sent email to company to discuss with them and would like my money back or at least a portion. Been 2 days no response

To enhance your experience, we've increased the number of buses in our Philadelphia fleet, ensuring they arrive every 20 minutes to prevent this from happening in the future.
