My group took the Big Bus Tours so we could get to our destinations that we purchased through our City Pass. We rode the bus throughout the day with its on and off service and we visited all 27 of their stops. It was great to hear the history, the stories and the opportunity to learn about Philadelphia. The guides were funny, knowledgeable and had fun doing their jobs.

We usually love the Big Bus hop on and off tours to give you a taste of the local community and see what you would like to look at more closely later. We typically take the tour on our first or second day in the city and then spot what we want to "hop off" later. In this case, we did that but the AC was not working so it was a miserable trip! The bus was very crowded and seemed to have standing people at every stop. It seems during the summer peak tourist season maybe offering more frequent busses and making sure the AC works would be helpful. Normally Big Bus is great ... I think we just came at a bad time.

Hello karen m Thank you for choosing Philadelphia Trolley Works & Big Bus Tours. My apologies for any inconvenience you experienced due to the hot weather. Some of our double deckers buses are equipped with air conditioning on the lower level, but most people prefer to ride on the open top and take advantage of the view. During the height of the summer season, our vehicles depart Stop 1 at 15 minute intervals.

Big Bus Tours have shuttles that will pick you up at hotel and take you to the station for boarding tour. It was a hop on hop off but we took the full tour to see what we really wanted to visit before getting off. They took us to so many historical sites. The tour was well worth the money and our guide was very informative.
