We got our baggage and called the number as instructed. It was easy to find the row number to be picked up at. To make it a little clearer, I suggest telling the folks where on the row to wait - the area nearest the airport or further down. That was the only slightly confusing moment, not knowing where to stand on the row. Row 27 in our case. The driver explained the sights on the way to the hotel and was very helpful. We would use this car service again.
The Carmel Car and Limousine Service did not follow your instructions at all! While we followed them to the letter. They claimed in a call to us that they had arrived at the airport for our flight, WITHOUT any call from us. Then because we were delayed at customs/immigration, when we did call them, they wanted to charge us $60 for waiting time!!! Not acceptable at all!!!
Disappointing. The whole reason for booking this service was for the car to be waiting for us, as advertised, when we came out of the airport, with the driver holding up our name (something my husband has always wanted). We rang when we'd collected our baggage and was told the car was waiting for us outside on the car park opposite. Not only was this not directly outside arrivals but the car wasn't in fact there. We had to wait a further 10 minutes for the car to turn up and there was nothing personal about it, no name card etc. The driver was more interested in telling us we had to pay a further $20 in charges for car parking, tolls and gratuity. As he'd only just come onto the car park I can't imagine that cost was very much, we went through one toll and I prefer to decide the tip I'm going to rather than it being dictated to me. Would not recommend this company to others.
