The driving was xtremely erratic. The driver was far from polite, and took us to wrong hotel at first -
Reacted badly when corrected. Finally, as soon as car stopped, Demanded an extra $ 20.
Had a few problems connecting to the number i'd been given to call the service at the airport. Finally found a different number and managed to sort it out, however, i was told i had to give the driver a 20$ tip.... As soon as driver pulled off he also asked me if i'd been told about the $20 tip i had to give him!!!!! Whilst i realise that i have to tip i don't like being told how much to tip, plus it adds an extra cost, so beware when budgetting.
On the positive the car was lovely, smooth ride.
It was the most complicated and dishonest transfer I have ever experienced:
1. After having ordered and paid the transfer I was required to call (from oversea), wait in line for 7 minutes and confirm by phone which was already confirmed and paid by internet.
2. Upon arrival I was again required to call Viator (from my European cell phone) after Passport and luggage, to confirm my arrival.
3. Then I was again required to call after Custom's Control and receive a rather complicated description of pick up point. The operator even had the nerve to say that time was running out since we only had 1 hour limit after flight arrival. This is not customer friendly, to put it mildly. The transfer company knows exactly when the flight arrives. If there is a delay there is no chance for the customer to notify the transfer company from aboard the aircraft.
4. Out of the blue, the driver charges an additional $ 20 to the already $ 83 paid over internet. This comes very close to fraud.
I will never deal with Viator again and will spread the word as far as I can.
(In all fairness the driver was very friendly and service minded and the car held a high standard.)
