Denny was our tour guide and was a gem. Knowledgeable, professional, experienced tour guide and experienced in South Dakota history. He was professional. This was a tour of the monuments, and he perfect to lead this tour. Denny knew when to talk and when not to talk. He read his clients how much additional information we could absorb. And when we were maxed out - he toned his approach down and gave us a break. Additionally, as our tour occurred the same weekend as the Sturgis Rally, and Denny has some motorcycling riding in his background, he made the tour enlightening. He shared Rally experiences to make a more enjoyable weekend as we shared the road with the 700,000 motorcycles. He was super. We gave him a 5 and would love to use Denny and Carrie's organization again.

My husband and I decided to take a trip to several locations in the USA to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Our first stop was Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. As a teacher, I decided to book a tour so that we could get knowledge of the area and the construction of the giant American sculpture. Karen W. picked us up and gave us water jugs to make sure that we stayed hydrated. She was a ray of sunshine and very personable. She started out in Custer State Park. She suggested that we watch a video about the wildlife in the area. We loved it. She drove all over the park and showed us pronghorn antelope and mule deer. She told us the history of the park and was a never ending source of history. She was very confident in her knowledge and shared all sides of the story. She shared the views of the early explorers and the sacred nature to the native people. She then drove us to the Crazy Horse Monument. She left us in the museum so she could check on the line for lunch. We were amazed at the artifacts and decided to watch a video about the sculptor and his family. She encouraged us to ride the school bus. We stopped often and she encouraged me to take photos of the plants and trees. She knew so much about the native plants. We drove up to Mount Rushmore and she shared knowledge of the sculptor and his techniques. It was an amazing first tour. She set the bar very high for our future tours. You can be sure that I will request Karen W. when we come back next year!
