We have visited NY on several occasions but this was the first time we began to fully appreciate its fascinating history. Sheldon took us to Brooklyn where we had never been before and opened our eyes to a New York beyond Manhattan. He also began to explain a part of history that links Britain and USA. The time spent at ground zero was particularly moving and crystalised our feelings about this tragic event. All in in all well worth the money.

We knew in the first five minutes that this was going to be an exceptional day. Sheldon, our tour guide, met us at the clock in Grand Central and started with some interesting and fun facts of the Terminal (it is not a station we learned). The five of us had informed him ahead of time of sights we would like to visit but we kind of gave him free rein to design the tour. Every aspect of our five hour tour was great. Our driver would drop us off and pick us up as per Sheldon's direction so we could go in to sights and get the history. Sheldon is a walking History Professor! Some of the stuff we learned was amazing. "To see NYC you have to leave NYC" he states. Turns out this was my favorite part of the tour...going to Brooklyn doing the Dumbo and ending up on a pier looking across the river to the skyline. Unreal. Then the George Washington battles which has now inspired me to delve into some research. Just fascinating stuff. You know how sometimes in life you get lucky and one day everything goes smoothly and according to plan? This was one of those days. Even some rain did nothing to dampen the fun....and it was fun. OK...I know I am rambling here....but if you are looking for a great tour of New York City...Sheldon is the guy. Look no further. Strongly recommend this. Thanks again Sheldon, from all of us! Scott
