A minimum of 2 people is required for tour to run.
This tour requires a certain amount of walking on uneven and rocky surfaces.
Motorized wheelchairs or scooters cannot be accommodated.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our private photography tour in Haines. The scenery was beautiful and our guide, Karla, did a great job telling us about the area and providing us with excellent photo opportunities. We saw bald eagles, trumpeter swans with their babies, a seal, and a bear! Yea! Thank you, Karla, for your excellent suggestions and a great day in Haines!

Thanks for this great review of your private photography tour in Haines. All our tours are small group, but there are some who prefer a private tour. The advantage to a private tour is that you work directly with the guide to craft the itinerary of the day. If you like a stop, you can stay as long as you want. Conversely, if the location doesn't grab your aesthetic sense, you can move on. Karla loves photography and Alaskan nature. That love comes through when she is guiding.

My husband and I took the Skagway in focus Photography Tour August 6, 2024, and Pat was our guide. We got so lucky to have such a beautiful clear day in Skagway. Pat was a plethora of information and we learned so much from him about Alaska, Skagway, Haines, the Klondike, etc. He was very personable and fun and told us of the exploring he has done while in Alaska. He asked us what we wanted to see and took us to photograph bald eagles, glaciers, waterfalls. Pat drove us up the Klondike summit just over the Canadian border where we were able to photograph the Fraser area and its beautiful mountains, rivers, and lakes. We highly recommend this excursion. Thank you Pat for making our day in Skagway so amazing.

Thanks for this great review of your time on tour with Pat. He is great guide and I like that you mention that the tour was so much more than just photography. It helps to have context when you photograph, and our guides are able to add that context by teaching you about the history and geography of the area you are visiting. And the Skagway/Haines areas have some of the most fascinating history along the Inside Passage- from the early trade routes of the Tlingit people to the Argonauts of the Klondike Gold Rush, right up to the present day.
