Railbikes along Pudding Creek

Overview
Pedaling along our historic tracks, bathed in dappled sunlight and a light breeze, you’ll experience a new freedom on the rails, unlike anything else. Without the need to steer, you’re unbound, able to look around at the wonder of this untouched stretch of the natural world, spotting blue herons, osprey, an occasional lounging turtle, perhaps a playful river otter, a deer munching on the foliage, and during peak berry season maybe even a bear.

It was definitely a unique experience, which is why I planned our Redwoods vacation around doing the railbikes. I'm not sure I can recommend it to most people, as it is quite expensive. Too bad I didn't book them when I first read about them years ago at about $50 per bike! My family enjoyed the entire ride and took a picnic lunch with us, so it made for a pleasant activity. But it was definitely a one-time (costly!) experience for us! Easily the most expensive activity we did on our entire trip. I have mixed feelings about was it worth the cost, since we got so much joy out of exploring the Redwoods and beaches practically for free.

The night ride is the BEST (!!!) way to go! We were a little unsure about the price, but would do it again! The redwood decks, absolutely beautiful pavilion, and HUGE fire pits with s’mores was amazing! Our guides- Jordan, Bruce and Ezera did a great job and had tons of knowledge. They need to do more night trips and really make this known on their website! If we were getting married again, This location is beautiful (!!!) and the price from what we heard is unbelievable! Thanks

Kind & helpful guides! The scenery was stellar with perfect weather. We even got a bit of a workout!!! Plus, it was fun & great way to pass a couple of hours.
