Overview

Come on a guided adventure with lots of good times and breath taking scenery. Edisto Island is one of the last few untamed places of South Carolina. Not many people are familiar with it's vast unexplored rivers and tributaries and the overabundance of strong fisheries. Few people realize the rich history of this quite little island as well. These two things combined are what makes Captain Justin Ravenel tick. He grew up spending every second of his free time getting to know the secrets of the island and he like's nothing more than to share them with you. The only thing Justin enjoys more than putting you on fish is spending time with his twin baby girls and his AMAZING wife!

We had an excellent time fishing and seeing the sights. I had never fished in my life ! Justin made it easy and was very encouraging. Caught my first two fish!! He is very knowledgeable about the water, the fish and the land. We would definitely recommend him and will go back in the summer with family .

Have a wonderful winter afternoon out fishing with Justin before the holidays. A native to Edisto, he is super knowledgeable about and respectful of the waterways, marsh natural habitat and all the nooks and sweet spots where you’re sure to find fish. We ended up catching several spot tailed bass within minutes of anchoring in one of Justin’s fishing spots. He was also quite patient with his instruction for two novice fishermen like ourselves. Highly recommend!

Justin Ravenel took our family of 6 out on a charter (6 & 8 year old) and grandparents included! We had a fishing + ecotour excursion and REALLY made a lasting memory out on the water. We caught so many beautiful Red fish (spot tail bass) and even saw dolphins, and “shell island.” What a great (educational and fun!) experience we all had with such a professional, courteous, down to earth, and overall great guide! Even though we’re from the area, it was well worth the trip out on the water with Ravenel Charters, especially to celebrate our parents’ 50th anniversary. It was fun to do something outside the norm, as we were not up to a bigger trip during these crazy Covid times. It made it easy that Justin was happy to accommodate us and wear masks, etc. Thanks, Justin, for a beautiful day out in the creeks!
