Overview

Unlike any walking tour in Salem, the Forest Lore Tour takes you outside the heart of downtown and into one of the few remaining wild places in the area, where you learn from a practicing Witch, what it means to experience real magic, why nature is so important, and how to incorporate ancient knowledge into modern life.

Wear your hiking boots and bring your curiosity! This is a one-mile, guided hike that takes to you the crossroads of science, history, and philosophy in Salem Woods. Rain or shine, but we can't operate in snow due to trail conditions.

Euni, who leads the tour, is simply the best! She provided so much helpful information on the mushroom, fungi, plants, animals, man-made structures, and magic going on in the Salem woods. I loved the way she described parts of the trail (some parts were very narrow where she said the trees would be hugging us, so cute!), and answered all of the many questions we threw her way. At the end of the tour she had many helpful suggestions for witch-related literature and local shops to check out. I’d love to take another tour again soon!

I really enjoyed the tour knowledgeable your guide and I learned new plant lore! It was a nice day to walk in the forest and a great introduction to the Salem area.

If your into nature, I absolutely recommend the tour, however if your a little like me, and are scared of bugs it might be a skippable experience for you. Some paths are overgrown, and walking through that triggered some of my anxiety. But overall beautiful landscapes and tour guide is very knowledgeable on mushrooms
