Unlike any walking tour in Salem, the Forest Lore Tour takes you outside the heart of downtown and into one of the few remaining wild places in the area, where you learn from a practicing Witch, what it means to experience real magic, why nature is so important, and how to incorporate ancient knowledge into modern life.

Wear your hiking boots and bring your curiosity! This is a one-mile, guided hike that takes to you the crossroads of science, history, and philosophy in Salem Woods. Rain or shine, but we can't operate in snow due to trail conditions.

The mushroom queen was so knowledgeable and really shared her love for the forest and did it well! Be prepared for a light hike and to learn and see things you’ve over looked before!

Was my favorite tour out of the 3 we did. Umbr reminded me of a real life tinker bell. So happy and fun to be around. Had a lot of fun and learned some.

We had a wonderful experience going on this tour. The forest is lush and diverse, with lots of winding trails and scenic places to stop. Best of all was our guide (Euni or Uni, sorry if I misspelled it)! She clearly is very passionate and knowledgeable about the surroundings, fungi, herbal remedies, witchcraft, history, etc. She was very personable and charismatic. Would definitely recommend!!
