Unlike any walking tour in Salem, the Forest Lore Tour takes you outside the heart of downtown and into one of the few remaining wild places in the area, where you learn from a practicing Witch, what it means to experience real magic, why nature is so important, and how to incorporate ancient knowledge into modern life.

Wear your hiking boots and bring your curiosity! This is a one-mile, guided hike that takes to you the crossroads of science, history, and philosophy in Salem Woods. Rain or shine, but we can't operate in snow due to trail conditions.

We took the forest lore tour and it was amazing. Our party was running late and guide offered to wait for us. We explained we would catch up and she sent a map and even slowed the tour so we could catch up. She was so knowledgeable about the forest. She explained plants and legends. Loved her humor ! We had an amazing experience!

This was a fantastic tour into the forest of Salem! It was nice to get off the beaten path and enjoy the natural world around us. The guide was awesome and great with kids.

Our guide Uni, was very informative and knowledgeable about all of the surrounding plants, mushrooms and old remedies. It definitely was a hike but in all a great experience.
