Salem Kids Slightly Spooky Tour

Overview
This tour combines true tales from Salem’s past with some mild ghost stories just for kids age 6+. Our aim is not to scare the heck out of your kids, but to provide a little shiver and bit of mystery for kids who like ghost stories. We are also telling you intriguing historical facts as well. This tour follows a route that is near the downtown, but it’s a little off the beaten path, very picturesque, and you’ll feel as if you stepped back in time. The tour ends at our historic and creepy Broad Street Cemetery, which was established in 1655. Meets at 316 Essex Street.
For over twelve years, parents traveling with kids have chosen Salem Kids Tours for a fun, well-researched and fascinating trip through time. Many times we have heard from kids, “I didn’t want the tour to end.” Parents have described our tours as the highlight of their trip to Salem. We are happy to show you around. We love kids, we understand their unique needs, and we look forward to meeting you on one of our tours.

I'm so glad we did this tour with our kids (8 and 6). This was our first time in Salem and it helped to orient us. Based on what we learned in the tour, we were able to figure out the areas we wanted to go to throughout the rest of the day. It gave us the perfect amount of history and ghost stories to refer back to for the rest of our time there. Alicia was great with the kids! Thank you!

Highly recommend this tour with Alicia! I took my 10 year old cousin on this tour aimed specifically for kids. What I found out was that it was just as interesting for me, as a grown adult. With Alicia being a teacher, she knew how to keep all the kids’ attention on the tour, made it fun for them, & kept them completely engaged the whole time. That is no easy feat! You can tell she loves what she does, and is so knowledgeable about Salem and it’s history. She answered all of questions (and boy, my cousin had A LOT). It’s all we talked about for the rest of the night & it was a beautiful memory we shared together. Forever thankful for this ❤️ Thanks so much for a fantastic tour!

Awesome tour! The guide Alicia was able to very well connect to the kids, and had a good balance of the amount of information and keeping the kids attention. It was also good that the walk wasnt too far. We ended on a graveyard and it was a little spooky too :-)
