San Diego Whale Watching Cruise

Overview

Whale watching season is all year long in San Diego! Our team at Next Level Sailing provides the optimal experience with guides so experienced we received a 100 percent success rate during winter whale watching when spotting the King of the Deep.

We are one of the best outdoor activities to do in San Diego. Gray whale watching season spans from mid-December through April. Blue whales and fin whales are seen feeding in San Diego from April - August. Humpback whales and minke whales are seen throughout the year, particularly in the spring, summer, and fall. Aboard our 141-foot sailing yacht, the Yacht America, you will see a plethora of whales firsthand in their natural habitat. In addition to whales, we also see dolphins and sea lions, and an abundance of naval activity. Don't be surprised if you see an F-18 fly overhead!

What a terrific experience. Troy and his crew were all professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Complimentary beverages and snacks were available since the tour was 4 1/2 hours (right over lunchtime). The anecdotal information shared was interesting and entertaining as we scoured the horizon to see dolphins, whales, and other sea life. The ship was beautiful, well maintained, and lent itself to a feeling of safety. The crew was considerate of the current Covid crisis and deftly managed social distancing with a smaller number of guests and giving us ample space apart. A really great experience and I look forward to going out with them again in the future!

Troy was great! His crew was very upbeat and considerate of everyone aboard. He created a chill atmosphere which is exactly what we were looking for. It was so nice to explore the sea lions and watch the sail.

We did not see whales but still had a great time the crew was super nice and worked really hard to make the trip within the Covid guidelines they offer a garuntee on the whales so since i did not see them i can come back for free and i totally will great company.
