Overview

Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

Great experience. The staff was kind, knowledgeable and friendly. They provided us with so many items to try and keep us from getting sea sick. We saw a whale, sea lions and a stampede of dolphins which was incredible!

I’ve gone on many ocean tours across the southern US to see ocean wildlife and this one was definitely unforgettable! The team with San Diego Whale Watch is extremely knowledgeable about ALL ocean wildlife. We saw 8 whales, easily over 100 dolphins, and 2 sunfish. We were able to get great pictures and videos of all the sea creatures we saw. This trip is perfect for all ages, my son is 3 years old and had a blast as well as my niece and nephew who are teenagers, along with my parents who are in their 70’s.
