My girlfriend surprised me with this as a gift and MAN O MA this was the best gift ever. We saw the Blue whale right before heading back to the docks. We saw a mega herd of dolphins. There were about 1,000 of them. All I can saw was the crew was fantastic and informative. The vessel was clean and comfortable. We will definitely do this again. You should definitely do this it's a wonderful experience. No complaints.

This was my first time whale watching and even though it was 'out of season' I learned that whales pass through SD year around. I set my expectations low because of anticipated volume but there is a daily log of sightings so I was optimistic that I would get to see 'something'. We only had to go out about 5 miles before our first sighting. It was an awesome sight to behold. Nature at its finest. There were a total of 6 blue whale sightings on our day, but even if we hadn't seen anything the crew would have stolen the show. The crew was very knowledgeable about the whales, their migration and feeding, gave us some history and biology lessons. They were also VERY friendly. All of the staff went out of their way to make sure you were enjoying your trip. If you've never been on a whale watching trip and even if you don't get to see any wildlife, a day off the coast of San Diego on a boat is worth the price of admission.

The day could not have been better. This is a relatively new company that tries hard to please. You should book a couple of days early especially for the morning cruise as they fill up fast. Great location right across from the west exit of Sea World. Free parking is a plus. I saw 5 whales and over 200 common dolphins. There are some discounts available online ex. Groupon search around. They have an onboard naturalist that was very informative.
