Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!

Went on a 10:00 trip with the family. Bought the seasick pills as soon as we boarded but was still not enough for the kids to not get seasick. Did see 4 whales and hundreds of dolphins though. I would recommend the cruise if your stomach can handle it

A group of us from attended meetings in San Diego last week and decided to take this trip. We headed out and the waters were calm and clear and beautiful. The sea lions in the marina were our first sighting and were lots of fun. As we headed out, the narrator of our journey did an amazing job of providing an incredible amount of information about whales and dolphins and the ocean itself. She was a fountain of information and kept everyone interested and entertained for the entire 3 hours. I don't know why I didn't expect to see any whales, but I honestly didn't. We ended up seeing 6 blue whales up quite close (one came up very near the boat and surprised us all as no one had been aware it was even there!). We also saw several pods of dolphins, one of which had to have 20-30 dolphins in it. They chased the boat for some time and were jumping and diving and putting on quite a show. Naturally the whales stole the show in my opinion and were truly an amazing sight. We were so impressed with the tour and the results of our whale search that we had hoped to go again on the Thursday afternoon when our meetings wrapped up but unfortunately the group does not run on Thursday afternoons. We will be returning to San Diego a few more times and will definitely be coming back to do this again!! You really can't go wrong with this adventure at sea and the crew all did an outstanding job and ensured that everyone had a fantastic time. Very well done!!

We chugged out of Mission Bay a couple of minutes late, but there was plenty of places to sit, so that everybody could choose and spread out. Before we left the bay, seals and pelicans. Once out, lots of dolphins, bottlenose, common and even baby dolphins. Then we spotted the spray of blue whales and made out way to deeper waters. Three blue whales were spotted. The highlight of the trip for me was when the engines were killed, and we sat, drifting watching the biggest creature ever to live swim slowly past, and breath.. it was awesome. The whole family enjoyed the trip, and the staff were helpful, friendly and informative throughout. A great trip. Thanks.
