San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview

Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

Was a fun, well organization venture. if you are expecting a Sea World experience with tons or Dolphins and Whales putting on a show, this is not for you. However, if you want a relaxing boat ride out in the Ocean with a chance to see Ocean life, then it's perfect. i personally loved it. one of the teens got a little sea sick, so prepare for that. oh and dont forget a sweeter or something. it was a cloudy July day and we froze. so we bought sweatshirt on the boat, but they're really nice.

Great info and experience. Loved all the info that the leader was giving. Wish we could have seen one whales but that’s the nature of the beast. Dolphin stampede was awesome!!

No whales this day, but lots of Common and Bottlenose Dolphins. Beautiful sunny weather and a great ship for sitting, viewing, or just visiting with your neighbor. Loved looking back on the San Diego coast line. The staff was wonderful... friendly and knowledgeable! It's up to fate whether the whales will be in the vicinity, but would go again just to be out on the water.
