San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview

Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

Amazing experience for the kids and us. The entire crew were extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them during the fall/winter months

Really interesting narration by the boat’s naturalist, Ryan. He took questions from the passengers about what we were seeing that really enhanced his already great narration. The captain found amazing dolphin pods and other large schools of big fish. Highlight was the humpback whale whom we got to see many times. Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s not “whale watching” season… these whales live out there year round and SD Whale Watching gets you right to them!

The dolphins were cool but I’ve seen dolphins many times! I took the experience to see whales 🐳 which we didn’t see! So a little disappointed 😔 but still a decent trip!
