I was awesome, we saw lots of whales as well as lots of dolphins playing and swimming alongside the boat. The tour guide also told us some San Diego history and info about some of the mansions around Newport.

My family and I visit San Diego every year since forever to see my brother. One thing we have never done was go whale watching until this last time (July 5th, 2012). We saw hundreds of dolphins which was so cool but unfortunately, we did not see any whales. The ride was fine and I felt very safe. Everyone on the boat had a great time and the staff was the best. Very polite, attention to detail and very informative. The owner of company boat came along. I dont know if he goes on every trip but he was super nice. They did everything they could to try and spot a whale but we never did. I dont blame that on them. I blame it on the stubborn whales. We did get 50% off cards after our trip because of no whales. Next year, I will definitely use them. drinks and snacks are served below deck and a moderate price. There are also two bathrooms on the boat. I did not take any sea sickness pills because I have never needed them but heed their warning if you feel you might get sick. Take the pill before you leave since it wont help you after you get sick. Its a long 3 hours if you are sea sick. Pills were only 3 dollars.

The staff is great and they beg you to take the meds; listen to them! We saw a fin whale, many dolphins, seals and sea lions. They are committed to your seeing a whale! We were out 12 1/2 miles and the trip lasted a little over 3 hours and was cheaper than the stated price on website.
