Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!

This trip was the perfect length of time (3 hours) and we were able to see a pod of 200 dolphins, a dozen swimming otters, and 3-4 fin whales!! Our guide did a great job of alerting folks where to look and providing fun facts, the captain steered the boat so we got the best possible view while still respecting the animals' space. There were snacks and drinks for sale on board for those who wanted them. They also sold Dramamine. Remember to bring cash for tip, but otherwise they do have a Venmo!

Great views of the whales. The crew was great and very professional. Also, the naturalist was very informative. Very exciting !!!
