San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview
Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

come early to find free street parking, otherwise you'll have to pay $10 to park in the lot. so so cold! wear all your parkas and thermals, it was freezing when we went out. I wish I wore mittens. We were also so lucky to find two blue grey whales swimming by as well as a hundreds of dolphins that passed by. The host/lady was also super nice, and I loved when she said random facts about the ocean, the coast, the wildlife, etc. Kept the whole thing entertaining when it was quiet while we were waiting for the whales to come out. This trip was pricier than the whale watching we did at Newport, which was a very similar experience. But I still enjoyed it overall. 10/10 recommend if you don't know what to do in SD!
