I picked up crusin' the Castro walking tours on the web, following the great reviews we saw. It has been a great experience, around the Castro today. Kathy arrived sharp at 10am and walked us around for more than what we expected! Informations were really interesting and she knows a lot about the Area. We would recommend Kathy and his walking tour, to all TripAdvisor's reader!

Having studied Castro's history, or even just seen the movie MILK, this is a must do! Cathy is absolutely incredible and very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. You see Harvey Milk's Apartment (which is now the HRC), the beginnings of Cleve Jone's Names Quilt, a Safe Space Park, Harvey Milk Civil Rights Elementary School and so much more. It is a walking tour, but is not too extensive and it is a great way to see the neighborhood. Cathy has a ton of incredible information and is open to any and all questions people may have. She was also very good at giving information, but making it appropriate for the small children who were around. Absolutely incredible!

My husband and I,new to the area, wanted to learn more about the many neighborhoods in San Francisco. I saw this "Cruisin' The Castro Tour" and thought it would be a great way to understand a neighborhood that we may not frequent often. We took our 4 year old daughter with us. The two hour tour was just the right amount of time to walk the many blocks, see the beautiful murals, learn about Harvey Milk's crusade and get a real sense of the vibe of the culture and tone of the neighborhood. I learned so much from Kathy who was very gracious and knowledgeable. In our tour group, we had people from across the nation as well as from around the world who really appreciated the tour. We had the opportunity to speak with shop owners, see the community centers/schools as well as learn more about the local initiatives that will honor all LGBT famous people in world history. All in all, a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this tour.
