An amazing tour, the best part of our trip to San Francisco. Kathy the tourguide was superb ! The tour through the history of Castro and of Gay and Lesbian America in general gave a unique insight into the magical area called Castro. I would recommend this tour to gay and lesbian travellers as well as their straight counterparts equally. My partner and I would not have missed this fantastic experience for anything. The lunch is delicious too!!!

We took this tour in mid-Sept. 2005. Trevor has just passed the tour to a successor, Kathy, who was a great guide - very friendly & easy to talk to - and who knew her facts. I was impressed how she managed to combine local and national histories of gay and lesbian life in SF and the US. Also, how she pitched it at a level to keep both 'out' gays and ‘straight’ guests on the tour entertained and educated. However, as a gay man, I can't deny the extra 'thrill' I got from being guided by 'one of us', and by hearing about events and people (especially Harvey Milk) so important in the development of gay human & legal rights. The tour took about 3 hours, including an excellent lunch, during which we got to know more about our guide and companions. I especially loved the Castro theatre/cinema - it was the first such interior I had managed to get to see: wonderful ! I highly recommend this tour.

I took Trevor's tour over Memorial Day weekend and was very impressed with her knowledge of The Castro and its history. The four hour walking tour (lunch included) takes you through this wonderful neighborhood as Trevor points out landmarks where history was made and is celebrated. I won't give too much away; it was a pleasure to discover The Castro through the eyes of someone so sensitive and informed.
