What an absolutely amazing tour! Kathy's insight into into Gay Culture and her knowledge of The Castro and surrounds areas provided us with the most enlightening and entertaining 2 hours of our vacation. The open dialog that occured between Kathy and the tour guests really made brought home the magnitude and importance that the Castro and it's past and present residents hold in the GLBT community! We plan on taking the tour again the next time we are in town! Thank you, Kathy, for making this the best part of our vacation! -Becky and Julie

Kathy Amendola takes the tour of the Castro, which starts from the huge Gay Pride flag pole located at the top of Castro street and from there the best day of my holiday started. Its not a this is this tour its an experience where your learn not only about a great history not taught in most schools but also about what's gone before and what the gay community are still fighting for. The tour is amazing and you really learn so much about the history of San Francisco, the Gay community and the Castro area, and yourself. Apart from being wonderfully educational Kathy made it such a fun day. If you only do one thing in San Francisco, treat yourself to this really amazing tour. You will learn so much, laugh, cry and walk away wanting more. I really would like to Thank Kathy again for really giving me the best day of my vacation. Please go on this tour if you want to see San Francisco, you have to go CRUISIN' THE CASTRO! Seamus Maguire, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

After seeing "Milk", I wanted a tour from someone in the Castro district, and luckily found this. Kathy was our tour guide and took 6 of us around the Castro district including the Harvey Milk Plaza, his camera shop and home, the pink triangle Holocaust Memorial Park, and thru the streets of the Castro district pointing out various historical sites along the way including the site where the AIDS quilt was made. She provided great history as well including proposition 9 in California, and the history of the rainbow flag. The Castro was a great area to see as a gay man and I enjoyed being able to walk down the streets hand-in-hand with my partner and feel safe. What a nice thing some couples get to do!
