This tour is the most in depth, historically accurate tour I have been on, anywhere in the world. Kathy is an amazingly friendly and knowledgable tour guide who not only knows the history of the district, but is also part of it's future. Most tour guides claim to have some link to the tours they provide, but few actually do, however Kathy has been a residentof the Castro for 11 years and as you wander the area listening to her enlightened commentary, you will often hear people call out a friendly hello as she takes you through the rich history and diverse modern culture that is the Castro.

I had a really good time with my partner one Saturday morning with Kathy providing us with the background of Castro. Lots of information but showed she knew her stuff. We went for a walk around the neighborhood with lots of locals saying hi to Kathy, who's obviously well known in the area. Definitely recommend the tour for someone who wants to get to know San Francisco's history, and not just stay in the city.

This was a truly worthwhile activity. I learned so much about the history of the people and the area and the guide was just a hoot, with great anecdotes and the break at the pastry shop (Hot Cookie) was to die for.
