Our tour group of about 10 was a congenial and inquisitive group, and our tour guide helped set that vibe. This tour reminded me how many rights are still fragile for so many. The safety that the Castro has provided for so many in the queer community was clear. I would have liked a little more info on the gentrification that is rampant in the neighborhood and how that is impacting its history as a safe and welcoming place for people in the margins. Other than that, however, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Glad to experience it during a quiet Pride Month.

Kathy was super knowledgeable and took the time to remember everyone's name. She was very organized and even had a bathroom break planned into the tour (which if you have been in SF, restrooms are very hard to come by). It was wonderful and despite being a local, I learned about so many things I have never heard about. Thank you Kathy!
