We really enjoyed the entire Big Bus experience in San Francisco. We initially booked the night tour for 4 adults and then added the days on when we arrived at the embarkation point near the wharf. The night tour gives you a quick but thorough drive through and past the high points and then the day time buses make a round every few minutes so you can hop off and tour some place and then catch the next convenient bus. Brilliant and we loved it. Our guide, Lew was awesome and gave us some great pointers about getting around on foot between bus stops so we could visit some specific places.

Guide only spoke to the upper deck making it impossible for us in the bus downstairs to follow his commentary. Interior lights downstairs were too bright to take photos. Was more about fun facts than visiting city landmarks. Ticketing process unclear. Had to collect from office, but they didn’t answer the phone! We made it to the office right on close of business to find music blaring, so he couldn’t hear the phone.
