Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

***PLEASE NOTE: If there are any food allergies in your party, we must know at least 48 hours in advance or some restaurants may not be able to accommodate. We also can't guarantee there will be a substitution at every location due to some allergies.

Charleston City Market

Built in the early 1800's, this four block historical landmark was originally the city's grocery store. Today, the City Market is home to a variety of local vendors that sell their art, crafts, and local wares.

Our guide Franny was amazing with all her stories she kept us well informed and entertained. The weather was very rainy, but with raincoats and umbrellas off we went. The food stops that were chosen were wonderful one more delicious than the next. It was well worth it. I highly recommend the tour.

I took this tour while at port during a cruise and it was the best excursion of the trip! We stopped at 3 restaurants, a candy shop, and a spice/tea shop. The portions were small, but I was full by the end of the tour. The she crab soup was amazing! I also enjoyed the hush puppies with the praline butter. Our guide, Sarah Cothran, was very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. Although I am not a history buff I was very interested in the information that Sarah shared.

Loved this amazing tour and you must absolutely try to get Franny as your tour guide! We were stuffed and got a great overview of the beautiful history of Charleston! Highly recommend!
