My daughter and I recently moved here and wanted to take a food tour to learn the history and sample the wonderful food of Charleston. Beth was our guide, and she was very knowledgeable about Charleston's rich food history. The food was so delicious, and we have a new appreciation for Charleston. We would highly recommend this tour and recommend that you come hungry, there is plenty to eat!

Let me first say that I am not a tour person. I normally stay at the hotel while others go on tours. But my wife booked this tour for our family, so I went along since I didn’t want to cause trouble. I was pleasantly surprised! The tour was great! Franny was a great host. She is so knowledgeable and I learned so much about Charleston. She not only told us about the history of Charleston, but she told us about the history of food in Charleston. I had never heard that before. We went to three restaurants and two stores, a spice store and a dessert store. The food at every location was wonderful! The walking was very easy, and it was all in the downtown area. Plus you sit down at each of the restaurants you visit. I am a picky eater, and thought I would not eat very much on the tour. But I was wrong. The food was so good! I am also an introvert, so I don’t do very well in crowds. But let me say the group of people we were with on the tour were all amazing. Every one of them were extremely nice, polite, and engaging. We had such a wonderful time. We also learned a lot about the downtown area of Charleston. We saw places to go and restaurants to eat at, all because of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Thanks so much for your incredible review of the culinary tour with Franny! We often tell our guests that food is history that you can taste. We hope that all of our guests get that taste on the tour along with plenty of food and wanting for none by the end. We are glad you enjoyed the tour and went above and beyond your expectations. Thanks again for visiting Charleston with us!

We do food tours almost every trip we take. Most have been great and this was no exception. Having a chef take you deep into the culture and cuisine was an added bonus. Lots of food and a nice mix of history and culinary delight!
