I am writing this while on the tour. It is 93 degrees with a real feel of 104. They have us sitting outside on the sidewalk eating hot biscuits, while the guide drones on about history. I am sure I could/would have enjoyed this so much more if I was not sweating to death. Couldn't you have reworked the itinerary? Or at the least saved the history for an air conditioned venue? It is miserable.

If you throw a lobster in boiling water, he'll just crawl out, but if you put him in cold water and slowly crank up the heat, he won't even notice he's being boiled alive. Darn it. You noticed. Thanks for letting us know. We're going to rework the itinerary, as you suggested, in order to minimize the time outside. Please forgive us for the heat. If we could dial it down, rest assured, we would.

Have to start by complementing Bulldog Tours for continuing the tour even though my wife and I were the only attendees. Most companies have a minimum. Fran was our personal guide, providing information on Charleston present and past as we sampled wonderful eats in and around City Market. They aren’t kidding when they say to come hungry! The food was great and the conversation with Fran was a joy! We had several adventures during our time in Charleston; this was by far the best!

Thanks for the review! Fran is an amazing guide and we are glad you enjoyed your time with her. Small groups can be quite intimate and allows for wonderful conversation, especially on our food tours. We are also happy to hear that you enjoyed the cuisine. We strive to provide plenty of food so no guest walks away hungry! Thanks again! Andrew Kuhn Tour Guide Manager

Beth made the tour interesting and took us to places we wouldn’t have found on our own. The pimento stuffed hushpuppies and sliders were to die for. We will be back to go on the other food tours!

Thanks so much for your review of our Savor the Flavors Tour! We agree that Beth does a wonderful job on the tour. Poogan's Smokehouse has an amazing menu. Their pimento cheese fritters are always a favorite! Thanks for spending a part of your trip with us in Charleston. Andrew Kuhn Tour Guide Manager
