Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

***PLEASE NOTE: If there are any food allergies in your party, we must know at least 48 hours in advance or some restaurants may not be able to accommodate. We also can't guarantee there will be a substitution at every location due to some allergies.

Charleston City Market

Built in the early 1800's, this four block historical landmark was originally the city's grocery store. Today, the City Market is home to a variety of local vendors that sell their art, crafts, and local wares.

Bf & I did this tour while in Charleston for a birthday weekend. Our tour guide, Beth Briggs, did an amazing job explaining the history of Charleston & the food we were sampling. The tour itself was great. We started out with a sampling of Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits, which were delicious & very filling... next we did some sampling of teas & spices, followed by samplings of seafood, Carolina Rice and finally BBQ. All within the same area. Great 2 1/2 hour food tour. By the end of the tour, we were stuffed ;). Took a leisurely walk back to our hotel and NAPPED! Highly recommend!

We took the Savor the Flavors tour and it was excellent. Our tour guide Franny was knowledgeable and fun. Great group of couples on the tour. Highly recommend.

This food tour was amazing! Ours started at 10:00 and ended around 1:00. We were not expecting so much food, but there was a lot of yummy things to taste! Very much food of the southern culture, which was so fun to try. Would definitely recommend!!
