Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview
Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

We enjoyed a 5:30 pm ride. The guide was Brandon and very nice, friendly, informative. I agree with another viewer part of the ride was more scenic but another side was industrial and in view and crossed under a main Highway. The ride location could be more scenic. We enjoyed the hosts, miniature horses, sheep, donkeys and especially the bison at the ranch. Our horses were calm and experienced, able to just follow the guide along the desert trail. Fun ride, great sunset, stopped off and ate at a very good Mexican restaurant in Old Town Cottonwood which was a nice slower paced area that we enjoyed.

Keys was the best trail guide I have ever had. He really entertained us with his western anecdotes. We will make this a regular activity whenever we come to Sedona. The facility it meticulous, the animals are clean and very healthy.
