Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

What an amazing experience this was! My fiancé and I enjoyed a nice scenic ride, our tour guide was Kevin and he was AMAZING!! This horseback ride was perfect for me since I am a beginner. My 23-year-old son who never rode before would have liked it to be a little more adventurous since the horses only walked. However, it was perfect for beginners and well supervised by Fred and Kevin. I truly felt safe and that they would help me if I needed help. Perhaps having different levels available would be great for those who want more of an adventure.

I have a good deal of equestrian experience and I can say without a doubt this is a great ride for beginners. Two wranglers kept an eye on all riders. Horses very well behaved. I was given a horse more suited for an intermediate rider and I would have happily taken him home!
