Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

Arrived by myself for my 50th birthday adventure. The place was clean and animals well taken care of. Little John was our guide and he was great especially with the beginner little children. Thankfully he adverted some buffalo. Marybeth in the office was very friendly. Smooth operation. Only thing negative is that gps took me to an agricultural complex right next door. I might of missed it but I don’t recall seeing any signs for the horseback adventure. Maybe have a sign on the opposite side of the road. The ride was majestical and beautiful! Great start to my birthday. Bring water and tip money. Thank you

We loved this tour so much. I am a first time rider and the staff was so helpful and supportive of me. It was a beautiful, calm ride with gorgeous scenery. Fred was our guide and was awesome!! I loved this so much and can’t wait to do it again!

Had a great early morning ride. You arrive and check in at a little shack in the parking lot, sign your forms, and step up to the wooden platform where they give you a quick rundown on handling your horse. Your horse is chosen based on the prospective rider, which is nice - I am curious how they select them though. The horses look healthy and are well trained - our guides Fred, Kevin, and Little John were professional, friendly, and very attentive to all guests throughout the ride. My girlfriend and I have not ridden horses before, so for us, the trek was perfect - leisurely and scenic. I will recommend that you go early - we had the 8am tour and the heat was very bearable.
