Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

We went at the hottest part of the day but it was the only time we could fit in our schedule and it's what my daughter wanted to do for her birthday. The horses were gentle, the scenery was beautiful and I took so many pictures, the path was very small hills and flat ways. It was perfect for a first time rider experience. The guide was fun, and it was the perfect one hour excursion for us. It was exactly what we were looking for to break up the day.

My family of 3 went on this horseback adventure right before high noon, so sunblock,sunglasses,hats definitely recommended. Our guide, Kevin was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered every one of our questions. The other stable helpers were just as nice and accommodating. They ensured our safety as this was our first time on horses. The pace was just right for beginners, nice and slow. The terrain went on small hills and mostly flat straight aways. My 13yr old had the lead and was able to get the horse to follow his direction. Scenery was beautiful. I wanted to take so many pictures with my phone but found it hard to maneuver it with one hand on phone and the other holding the reigns (plus it was so bright out, I couldn’t even see what I was taking until after I got back to the car). Overall, I was extremely happy with this excursion and would definitely do it again if I’m back in that area.
