Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

This little place was amazing for first time horseback riding. My 15 year old son had the time of his life. Thomas exceeding our expectations. He played the harmonica during our ride which was relaxing. He talked to my son and gave him tips. He let my son run the horse to give him a real experience. The women in the office entertained my 5 yr old who wouldn’t get on the horse. She showed us the chickens and let him watch cartoons on her phone. They had so many animals and babies too. It was so cute to watch them. Thank you for giving my boys something to talk about. They really did have an amazing time.

The experience is a very relaxing, slow-paced horseback ride through a desert terrain. So it really does feel like you're a cowboy. The staff was engaging, and everything felt safe. However, I dont believe it's worth the price. Note also that you are much better off going with the hour session; the extra half-hour session was spent going through a ranch, which isnt much cooler than the desert/hills traveled during the first hour.

Totally unprofessional as soon as we arrived... no one seemed to know what was going on , how many people were riding and so forth. There was also an Incident and someone was hurt, there was not a first aid kit or ice and employees couldn’t figure out where to get water. Felt unsafe to continue, we never even got on a horse yet and all this happened
