Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

We spent a week in Arizona, visiting the Grand Canyon and Sedona. And two of our kids say this was their highlight of the whole trip. It was a great combination of a calm ride that didn’t require any riding experience — but still enough to make our 5, 9 and 12 year old nervous until we got going and they realized they were capable! That was especially true since the cowboys in charge of our crew were so awesome. They made us feel comfortable and they were very friendly. A very simple place, nothing fancy at all. But also very authentic and the views were nice.

Our guides John and Scott were attentative and courteous. There were helmets in different sizes for all ages as well as saddle packs for keeping water (they provided) and our snacks, which was nice to have. They helped out with the kids and worked to make us have a safe and enjoyable experience. The whole family had a great memory to look back on!

Very accommodating! Let me change my morning tour to the sunset ride with no hassle at all; very appreciative for that. Being a first time rider I felt comfortable and safe on horses. Guides went over horse handling quickly and able to get out and catch the sunset. Guides able to take pictures for us and had great stores along the way. Very friendly staff. Would recommend.
