This wasn't quite what we had hoped for.
Very textbook-y, rapid-fire outpouring of facts. Interesting in some ways but not really engaging.
FYI... not professional astronomers. Knowledgeable, yes, but not professionals. Wish that would have been stated more accurately in the description. Felt a little duped. Also the description states individual sets of binoculars would be given but this did not happen.
Timing issue - the time was changed to one hour later due to seasonal sunset time changes (so the change happens a couple times a year and is fairly predictable.) We didn't know this or see any mention of the possibility of this in the description even after the fact when intentionally digging for it. We learned of the change when we received a text a few hours prior telling us what time to arrive - not informing us of the time change, just assuming we already knew. While trying to clarify it via text, I was simply told that this had always been a possibility and I should've seen it. A screenshot of a confirmation with the new time was then shared with me as 'proof' - a confirmation that I had never received because my own confirmation came from Viator, not the organizers. Very strange, curt and unnecessary mixup and communication. Strongly suggest to the organizers to simply clearly state this possibility within the description (including within Viator and TripAdvisor descriptions) AND to let people know more in advance. It really upset our schedule and caused a lot of last minute confusion.
The cost of $120 per person seems too high in arrears. The whole experience fell a little flat for us; just not quite on target - the strange, unnecessary time mixup with the response that it was entirely our fault; the inaccurate descriptions of binoculars and professional astronomers; and the rapid, sterile delivery of facts.
We just wouldn't recommend it to others unfortunately, at least not at this price.
