We rented a 2 person kayak for full day. The day was beautiful and ocean fairly calm. We first briefly visited the flat island bird sanctuary then on to the Mokulua Islands where we walked to queens bath then lunched under a lava overhang. We snorkeled at Lanikai Beach then decided to go back to flat island and walk all the way around. Trip took us 4 hrs w/lots of free time at each location. We too felt the estimated travel timings were much exaggerated, however, we'd do this trip again in an instant! Loved it!

Have gone to Kailua Beach Adventures multiple times and it never disappoints. Great people working. Beautiful views while kayaking. Definitely worth the time and drive to beautiful Kailua!

We hired a two person kayak for a half day (4 hours) which was plenty of time to paddle out to both islands and then have a swim at the end. It was really fun and the company have the set up totally nailed. Easy process and they explain the routes with a handy video. The only thing to flag is their estimated timings are for the very slowest (e.g. they said it is 30 mins to the flat island and it took us 7 mins)- we did everything in about 2.5 hours
