Witness beautiful Rocky Mountain vistas while climbing over a beautiful mountain pass to Echo Lake at 10,600 ft. Stroll around this beautiful glacial lake sitting at the base of 14,256 foot Mt. We recommend a jacket year round as the mountains are always colder than Denver. In the winter hat and gloves are recommended as well.

Access into the amphitheatre is dependent on sound check closures by performers the day of. We recommend taking our morning tour for best chances of accessing the inside of the amphitheatre itself during concert seasons.

Echo Lake Park

Travel up Squaw Pass where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Continental Divide and Rocky Mountains along this Scenic Byway. You will reach beautiful Echo Lake, a glacial lake sitting at 10,600 ft at the base of Mt. Evans. Enjoy a stroll around the lake and take in the fresh mountain air and scenery.

My wife and I took this tour with Will as our guide on a Saturday in March. It was absolutely fantastic. Will is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the history and geography of Colorado, so the driving time between sites was very entertaining. All of the stops on the tour are gorgeous, and Echo Lake was especially breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour, specifically with Will as the guide.

The tour was in the afternoon in a small van, so there was not a hassle in getting in and out with a lot of people. Our guide, Will, was outstanding. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited.

We are visiting Denver from Calgary and wanted to explore the mountains with a guided tour. We originally booked the full day tour to Breckenridge but were called in the morning letting us know the weather conditions were not safe enough to make it up the higher mountains so we took the afternoon tour instead and are very glad we did! The tour guide, Will, was amazing and knows so much about the areas we went to. He kept us interested and entertained the whole time we were on the bus with facts and stories about the history, wildlife, geology, personal experiences and more. We learned so much and definitely recommend this tour!
