My family and I booked the 2 hour (guide-driven) battlefield tour and Robert (Bob) Steenstra was randomly assigned as our licensed tour guide. In all my years of touring historic sites in the United States and Europe, Bob stands out as the most informed and dynamic guide I have experienced. He is clearly an expert and the manner in which he presents history is engaging and mesmerizing. Bob made history come alive and presented the battlefield history from all vantage points and perspectives. It would be impossible to engage a better tour guide. He made the Gettysburg trip one of my very favorites.

Highly recommend this tour. You can do the normal driving audio tour but the guided tour gives you another whole new experience. Our guide Eric added enthusiasm and knowledge to our adventure but also was engaging and asked us there any specific place that we would like to visit or do the normal tour? Being a civil buff I wanted to cover more of areas we don’t normal get to. He drove the car and was very informative on each area and we got to explore roads we never would have gone down. Every time we come to Gettysburg we discover more and more. Not only was he knowledgeable he also was related to a wounded union soldier in one of the areas we went through on the battlefield. He was more invested in teaching us about this historic town and battlefield. I highly recommend Eric.
