In pure holiday fashion our Christmas Lights Electric Cart Tour takes you on a tour through historic downtown Mount Dora to experience the Christmas illumination. Unlike big city Christmas, this is small town America where you can take a step back in time to appreciate the festive display created by the townspeople.
Over 2 million lights decorate this tiny town, it’s a sight to behold! Tour Donnelly Park to view the brightly lit Oak Trees, experience the lights at historic Lakeside Inn, the oldest continuously running hotel in Florida. Mount Dora Boating Center alone has over 1 million LEDs.
Our Christmas Tree lights dance to festive music and this beauty is designed to put a smile on your face. Enjoy the shops and restaurants that share in the holiday merriment. Mount Dora was built in the late 1800s when it was a simpler time. We hope our Christmas lights tour makes you feel like a kid and puts you in a festive mood. It only runs from Thanksgiving weekend to the first of the year!

What To Expect

Donnelly House

The Donnelly House is a beautiful Queen Anne style home built in 1893. JP Donnelly, the First Mayor of Mount Dora, built it for the Love of his Life and every year it is garnished with exquisite Christmas decorations.

Lighthouse Park

The Christmas lights from Grantham Point and Elizabeth Evans Park shimmer on Lake Dora. On our way to Lighthouse Park you can experience them all. Join us for a Christmas Lights Electric Cart Tour, it's a gorgeous sight to behold!

It was colorful. John did a good job. A little hectic and a little late, but John couldn’t control that.

Our guide, Tim, was not a guide, he was strictly a driver. He said "The tour starts now", then 20 minutes later, he stopped the cart and said "That was the tour." He did zero narrating of anything we saw, and the tour was extremely short. We had to beg him to stop so we could take a few photos. He was rushing through the route. He told my husband on the side after we got off, that he was going to try to squeeze in another tour before the next scheduled tour. What a rip off!
