Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

I have done both the day and sunset charter. My most recent experience was the sunset Shell Key tour! This tour is great even if you're a beginner as the guides will take the time to go over the basics with you. The water is very calm and we even saw some dolphins! Our guide Spencer was super informative and offered to take pictures of our group. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanted to tour Shell Key!

We had a great trip out to Shell Key. The group was small and Ross, our guide, was knowledgeable about the wildlife. He did an excellent job of leading the group and making it feel like a laid back day out on the water. I would definitely do this again.

Took a kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve with a group of four women with limited to no experience in kayaking. All of us live in the area and are familiar with the Florida flora and fauna. Even so, we were amazed with our tour with Ross as our guide - kayaking through two mangrove tunnels, viewing an unusual type of jellyfish, a spiny crab, dolphin, huge white pelicans, and a cormorant bird. Ross looked after us and was friendly, interesting, and very informative. Highly recommend Coastal Kayak Charters and this tour!
