A local Louisiana naturalist guides you through the historic Manchac Swamp explaining historic information and the native ecosystem. Please note that pickup times are 9AM and 12PM, one hour before the tour begins. Please read ticket after booking.

My friend and I did the 10am swamp tour and we had an awesome time. Our guide, Max, was super knowledgeable about the area. We learned so much about the native plants, birds, gators, invasive species and everything else you can possibly think of. He truly had a never ending wealth of knowledge. We had a small group of 5 friendly people, which I really enjoyed. Max went out of his way to assure we were all able to keep up, hear what he was saying and assure that we were all enjoying ourselves. Towards the end of the trip Max asked if we had anything we needed to be back for so we can spend more time out in the swamp and we were all happy to extend our time kayaking. Max also took time out to take pictures and videos of us with our phones so we had memories from our great experience. All in all, I highly recommend this kayak trip. If you’re a laid back person looking to learn about the area and see some nature, this trip is for you!
